The journey to CERES …
I didn’t set out to create CERES—life had other plans.
My love of food led me to launch the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival, celebrating the rich food and beverage traditions of the South. After selling the business, I set my sights on building a global culinary exchange. That exchange didn’t play out, but through the research and development process I uncovered something fascinating: “gourmet clusters”— small towns near major cities teeming with food and beverage businesses.
Having spent time with chefs struggling to launch or sustain their businesses, I envisioned a chef incubator program — one that could nurture culinary talent and seed new gourmet clusters. The idea caught the attention of developers eager to weave food into their communities, leading me into consulting. Then, a dear friend challenged me: “Stop sharing your ideas—build something yourself.” I laughed it off. Five months later, I realized a 90-acre parcel near my home was sitting undeveloped. Opportunity had knocked.
Ten months later, I closed on the land, and CERES was born.
Not long after, serendipity struck again when I met Clive Davis, now my business partner. We connected instantly, and CERES’ mission became crystal clear: to create places where life is lived deliciously.
CERES Chattahoochee Hills is the first of many developments designed to make food the foundation of vibrant living. We’re weaving culinary culture into daily life through gardens, greenhouses, orchards, edible landscapes, and experiences that foster connections and establish a taste of place. Of course, the chef incubator will play a key role in CERES as well as the great Chattahoochee Hills area, fueling the local food scene, launching chef-driven concepts and sparking new gourmet clusters.
Whether you’re a future resident, guest, or just curious, we hope you feel the passion behind this vision. CERES is about a healthier, more connected, and more abundant way of living. We want you to live deliciously!
It’s an honor to share CERES with you.
Live deliciously,
Dominique Love
